BIOPATH 2 Gunung Pulai Hike

On 16th March 2024, a hike up to the summit of Gunung Pulai (610M) was undertaken via the 10km tar road, Jalan TM. The hike included four other BIOPATH members who were enthusiastic about mountain hiking and were experiencing Gunung Pulai for the first time. During the trip, various primate species were spotted, including Dusky Leaf Monkeys, Long-Tailed Macaques, and Lar Gibbons. Additionally, the vegetation along the road was diverse, showcasing a transition from lowland dipterocarp to hill dipterocarp forests. Although the birdlife was not particularly active, a total of 10 bird species were recorded.
